Don’t wait until the New Year to try and get clients booking in. Start Now

It’s essential any year to lay the groundwork early for a great start in January, but never more so than this year. The run-up to Christmas is a busy period and you’ll be kept busy, but retaining business for the slower months ahead starts now. All those clients coming through the door this month provide you with the ideal opportunity to make sure the slots are filled.

Do the Groundwork

There are lots of ways to get your Christmas clients coming back in the new year. Talk about their hopes for the New Year ahead, with lots of things up in the air, getting their skin in great condition could be a focus. Think about ways to incentivise. For example, you could offer a package deal for clients taking up your ‘New Year Skin Transformation package’ Tailor the package to suit your client’s needs and what they hope to achieve. Make booking the course of treatments now a requirement of the offer. Maybe offer the first treatment at a discount to get them through the door and onboard with your plan.

Loyalty Cards

For clients who don’t want to commit at the moment, you could use loyalty cards to offer rewards on a pay-as-you-go basis. Once they have 6 treatment stamps they get a free treatment, or a free upgrade after 3 stamps. It’s up to you but we suggest you keep them time-sensitive to encourage regular treatments. Maybe for use during the first quarter only.

Ask Clients to Rebook

This is such an easy way to make sure clients are back through the door regularly. Just getting clients to attend more regularly will help to improve your profits. We tend to forget to call and book, or we mean to and don’t get around to it, so make it really easy for clients and book them in! Just remember to send out a reminder closer to the time.

Be Direct

Your loyal, long-term clients use you for a reason, so it can’t hurt to remind them. If things are still a bit slow when January swings around, use your client database and give your regular clients a call. Offer them a great deal to get them back through that salon door!
