Father's Day Marketing

Father’s Day Marketing Ideas

June can be a slow month in-salon so make the most of Father’s Day marketing opportunities. With the whole beauty industry moving towards gender neutrality, Father’s Day is an excellent time to focus on men’s personal care and appearance. It is the ideal time to showcase the treatments you have on offer for men all year round.

Male Grooming

Make sure your clients are aware of your male grooming options. Male clients have to go somewhere all year round, and it could be you! So, make it clear you offer these treatments all year. Why not make the whole week leading up to Father’s Day a week with offers and specials to suit every type of dad?

Appeal to Women and Children

This Father’s Day remember your audience is not only men. Focus your marketing efforts wider than that so they appeal to those gifting on Father’s Day. Women are the main buyers of Father’s Day gifts, so target them in your advertising. Tempt them with a discounted treatment for dad if they spend a certain amount on themselves! Appeal to children too. Make sure they have something tangible to give dad. Think about how your vouchers are presented – presentation matters for gift-givers.

Social Media

Use social media to your advantage. Think about Giveaways, ‘How-tos’ and Tips. Share examples of previous work and keep your clients informed. Show off your gift bundles on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to maximise sales and revenue. This helps your clients with gift ideas. Consider running a competition for ‘Dads and Daughters’ – they can send photos in to win a Father’s Day prize.

Gift Sets

Curate gift sets with your retail products. Group them by “type” of dad (Eg. Outdoorsy, focus on SPF and sun protection). Make them easy to browse and buy. Labels and prices must be visible and at eye level. Make it as easy as possible for those gifting to choose the right products.

Promotions

Offer a promotion. Perhaps ‘Bring dad for a treatment and get a percentage off’. This gives fathers and their children a chance to spend quality time together. Give vouchers during the treatment to encourage loyalty – and bring them back in the future. Take the opportunity to make new clients permanent ones! Father’s Day is a great opportunity to get more guys through your door. So what are you waiting for? Ramp up your Father’s Day marketing now.
