How to Make the Most of Your SkinBase Treatments

Knowing the ins and outs of the products and services that you offer is absolutely pivotal to being a success and retaining clients. You have already set yourself apart from the crowd by providing SkinBase treatments, so you should familiarise yourself with the features and benefits of each one so you can promote them at the drop of a hat.

So, let’s go back to basics and refresh our minds on what each treatment is all about…

SkinBase Treatments

Microdermabrasion

The SkinBase facial microdermabrasion treatment uses a stream of non-allergenic crystals to remove the skin’s outermost layers of dead cells and target specific zones. During a microdermabrasion treatment, a fine jet of abrasive crystals gently removes dead skin cells layer by layer, and a vacuum action removes the debris, stimulating the blood flow and encouraging collagen and elastin formation.

Microdermabrasion treats a variety of skin related problems including acne and scarring, dull and tired skin, pigmentation, blemishes and the effects of ageing skin, including wrinkles and fine lines. In as little as 30 minutes a microdermabrasion facial will firm up, revitalise and leave your client with more youthful-looking skin. During a course of treatments, wrinkles and fine lines will disappear, acne and acne scarring will be significantly reduced, and dull and tired skin will be restored to glowing health – a treatment your clients will love! Because this is a treatment that your clients will get regularly, you could offer bulk bookings at a small discount or even offer the first session at an introductory price.

Collagen Lift

This fantastic treatment tightens, tones and lifts, achieving firm, youthful-looking skin – without the tell-tale signs often associated with Botulinum injections and fillers. Radiofrequency technology is really effective when it comes to skin tightening and firming – especially when your client has loose or sagging skin. This makes a collagen lift the ideal treatment for those clients that want to avoid surgical procedures.

Some injectables paralyse muscles to improve the appearance of wrinkles and plump out the skin. However, a collagen lift increases muscle tone, provides a more defined jawline and diminishes fine lines due to the tightening effect from a natural realignment of the tissues.

As you will know, the results from a course of collagen lift tend to be instant. Tightening of the elastin fibres occurs immediately, giving an instantly visible result. Long term results can last up to 2 years – this is a huge selling point for clients!

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL for short) is the process of using specific wavelengths of light to provide a range of aesthetic and therapeutic treatments. This treatment, as you’ll know, is different from laser-based therapies that only produce a single wavelength of light. This means that IPL can treat more than just one specific condition, including hair reduction, photo-rejuvenation, acne and vascular lesions.

Again, this treatment usually undergone regularly by clients, so offering a block discount or introductory price could turn one-off clients into long term clients. Make sure to carry out a full consultation with all your clients in addition to how many treatments you think they’ll need.
